What You’ll Learn During Hands-On Training with The Tint Academy

At The Tint Academy, our hands-on training is designed to give students real-world experience installing window film on vehicles. Whether you're starting a new career or adding tinting services to your business, our instructors guide you step-by-step through the complete installation process.

During the course, students will learn:

Introduction to Window Film
You’ll start by learning the basics of automotive window tint. This includes understanding different types of films, film percentages, heat rejection, and how tint improves comfort, privacy, and protection.

Tools and Equipment
Students are introduced to the professional tools used in the industry. You’ll learn how to properly use squeegees, knives, heat guns, slip solutions, and other essential tools required for professional installations.

Glass Preparation and Cleaning
Proper preparation is critical to a successful tint installation. You’ll learn professional cleaning techniques to remove dirt, debris, and contaminants that can cause bubbles or imperfections.

Film Cutting and Patterning
Students practice cutting film to fit vehicle windows. You’ll learn both hand-cutting and patterning techniques, helping you gain confidence working with different vehicle types.

Heat Shrinking Techniques
Heat shrinking is a key skill for installing tint on curved rear windows. Our instructors demonstrate how to properly shrink film using heat guns so it conforms smoothly to the glass.

Film Installation
You’ll install tint on side windows, rear windows, and windshields (sun strips) while learning professional techniques to eliminate bubbles, creases, and contamination.

Troubleshooting and Fixing Mistakes
Mistakes happen when learning any new skill. Our trainers teach you how to identify and correct common installation issues so you can deliver professional results.

Business and Industry Tips
In addition to installation skills, students receive insights on pricing, marketing tint services, choosing suppliers, and growing a successful tint business.

Certification
After completing the course, students receive The Tint Academy Certification, showing they’ve successfully completed hands-on professional window tint training.

By the end of the course, students leave with real installation experience, confidence using professional tools, and the knowledge needed to start offering window tint services immediately.
